Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan is an actress and member of SSC's board since 2011, is the Founding co-artistic director of the recently formed theatre firm Speech of Fire. She has been the artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. Also, she was the producer, costume/set designer writer/composer, and the text coach for SSC while she served as its Artistic Director. While she was usually the leader inside her ensemble of actors, in her last season with SSC King Lear, she was promoted to director and lighting designer. Ross has been her husband and co-writer from 1982. Together, they have two daughters. Post is a wonderful actress, an ideal mother and wife, and also an excellent role model for many Hollywood stars.
