Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. She has performed on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine Her real name was Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta however, her roots lie situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career as a singer and pianist at church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical instruction began with Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005 she took on the role of the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) approached her for an opportunity to be the choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during 4 performances a day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
