Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Early on, while growing up in New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Her passion was for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic adventure. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from it. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. In Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase living conditions for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of the dangers of childhood diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her career and love of cooking. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion of and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
